Robert Trevellyan to be featured speaker at EFA meeting

WordPress In A Nutshell is the topic of the Upper Hudson Chapter of the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA) meeting, Thursday, February 11, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Freelance editors, proofreaders, writers, indexers, translators, and other editorial professionals are welcome to come to the meeting at the Chatham Town Hall, 488 State Route 295, Chatham, NY, 12037.
Robert Trevellyan, of Trevellyan.biz, a web design and development company in Chatham, will be the featured speaker. In WordPress In A Nutshell, Robert will present a brief history and explain the use and terminology of WordPress, the popular website application. Attendees should bring questions, as most of the meeting will be devoted to Q&A about WordPress.
Robert has been programming computers ever since the concept of a “home computer” first became a reality in the 1980s. After a 20-year career in video games, he joined his wife’s company, Trevellyan.biz, in 2009. Together they design, build, and maintain websites for a wide variety of small and medium-size businesses and offer many other graphic design, advertising, marketing, and technical support services. In 2015, the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce and Columbia-Greene Media readers voted Trevellyan.biz Best Web Developer in Columbia County.
The local Upper Hudson chapter of Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA) was formed in 2005 to provide a way for freelancers to network and share experiences. EFA is a national, nonprofit, professional organization of freelancers in the publishing and communications industries. Members are editors, writers, indexers, proofreaders, researchers, translators, and others. There is no charge for EFA members to attend chapter meetings; suggested donation from nonmembers is $10. For more information, visit the EFA website.
The Chatham Town Hall is fully handicapped accessible. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, e-mail [email protected] or contact Terese Platten, chapter co-coordinator, at [email protected]; 518-781-3621.
