Creating a complicated layout with InDesign means lots of overlapping image and text boxes. Selecting the box you want to work with can sometimes be tricky – but less so now that I’ve discovered the Fit To Frame Content tool in the options palette. Sure, I’ve used the Fit Content to Frame, Fit Frame to Content, and other fitting options for images, but I didn’t realize that Fit to Frame was available for text too. If the text frame is too large and you want it to fit the exact size of the text, simply click on the button and the text box is automatically resized to fit the contents perfectly.
